Director of Public Safety – City of Social Circle is seeking candidates to be considered for the Director of Public Safety for this community of 4,500 in the southeast corner of Walton County, 45 miles east of Atlanta.
The Director will be appointed by the City Manager. The successful candidate will have a proven record of fostering effective communications as well as demonstrated external and internal leadership.
Requirements include at least 10 years experience in law enforcement and/or fire service; or any combination of education, training and experience providing the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Must be a US citizen, have a valid Georgia driver’s license, and be certified as a Georgia Peace Officer by Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), and /or certified Georgia Firefighter.
