Minutes from November 6, 2006

Mayor Burgess called the meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Anne Peppers, Traysa Price, David Terry and Angela Porter. Also present were City Attorney Joe Reitman, City Manager Doug White and City Clerk Susan Roper.

Guests present were: Stephen Milligan, Crystal Tatum, Don Garner, Jamie Peterson, Jim Alexander, Donny Clack, John Penland, Carolyn Penland, Michael Penland and Steve Shelton.

Mayor Burgess led the pledge of allegiance.

Mayor Burgess commended the staff on financial report for September 2006.

Council Member Terry made a motion, seconded by Council Member Peppers to approve the Annexation Ordinance as submitted. All were in favor.

Council Member Price made a motion, seconded by Council Member Porter to approve the recommendation from planning & zoning to rezone the annexed property to MUBP subject to the execution of the Development Agreement and that the agreement be made part of the minutes. All were in favor.

Council Member Peppers made a motion, seconded by Council Member Terry to approve the request from staff to purchase 4 automobiles for the Public Safety Department instead of the 2 vehicles recently approved and for the financing to come from GMA. All were in favor.
