MINUTES

SOCIAL CIRCLE CITY COUNCIL

REGULAR MEETING 

May 19, 2009, 6:30 PM

 

Mayor Burgess called the meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Anne Peppers, Angela Porter and David Keener. 

 

Mayor Burgess led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Council Member Porter made a motion, seconded by Council Member Peppers to approve the minutes for April 21, 2009 and May 12, 2009 as presented. All were in favor.

 

Council Member Peppers made a motion, seconded by Council Member Porter to approve the Financial Statements for April 2009 as presented. All were in favor.

 

Mayor Burgess opened a public hear allowing comment on Ordinance Amendments as presented by the City Attorney. There being no one present to speak for or against the amendments Mayor Burgess closed the public hearing. 

 

Council Member Keener made a motion, seconded by Council Member Peppers to approve the amendments as presented. All were in favor.

 

Vice Mayor Traysa Price was named as the GMA Voting Delegate for the upcoming convention.

 

Council Member Peppers made a motion, seconded by Council Member Porter to approve a transfer from Gas to Water for $300,000. All were in favor.

 

Council Member Keener made a motion, seconded by Council Member Porter to approve a contract with R. J. Wood and Company for engineering for the General Mills facility. All were in favor.

 

Vice Mayor Price arrived at 6:44 PM.
